Get to Know Dr. Michelle Gutierrez

Dr. Michelle Gutierrez is originally from Utuado, Puerto Rico, and has around half a decade of experience in the dental field. She finds the most rewarding part of her work is the ability to make an immediate, meaningful difference in her patients’ lives. She focuses on delivering care that is thoughtful, precise, and centered around each patient’s needs.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Gutierrez was inspired to pursue dentistry from a young age after experiencing the positive impact it had on her own life. She was drawn to the profession because it blends her passions for art and science, allowing her to combine creativity with clinical care in a meaningful way.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Gutierrez earned her dental doctorate from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine. She then completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center and later worked in private practice in Brooklyn, NY, for five years. She has built her skills through countless hours of continuing education, and she’s also a proud member of the American Dental Association and the New York Dental Association.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

When she isn’t at the office, Dr. Gutierrez enjoys reading, trying new foods, and traveling. She also has a competitive side and is especially skilled at ping pong, having once trained alongside professional players!
